Our original plan was to sail from Vigo to Alicante, exploring the best of Spain and Portugal, but the sea had other ideas. With three different crew members joining us along the way, our month-long adventure took a slightly different turn — ending in sunny Estepona instead. From Porto’s charm and Lisbon’s vibrant culture to the golden Algarve and the dramatic Rock of Gibraltar, every stop told its own story. Revisiting Portimão, where we bought Vela in 2021, made the journey even more special. It was the perfect mix of adventure, memories, and miles under the keel.
